Enchantment
July 18, 2010
More enchantment..
A reminder of some of my favorite puffy childhood dresses..
The feeling of the quick soft wind through my hair as the subway train passes by..
The thought that if I hold enough balloons I could actually fly..
Pom poms
Crisp white linens..
and bold bright yellow drapes..
Moroccan revisited..
July 17, 2010
This Moroccan oasis is called La Mamounia. As Winston Churchill once called it, it’s “the most lovely spot in the whole world”. Sheltered within the walls of the old city, La Mamounia is named for its 200-year-old gardens, which were given as an 18th century wedding gift to Prince Mamoun by his father. It was turned into a hotel in 1922 and was designed by the architects Prost and Marchisio who combined the traditional Moroccan designs with the popular Art Deco style of the 1920′s. The hotel has been renovated several times but it’s latest $180 million three-year-face-lift had so many people from all around raving about its stunning eternal beauty. Redesigned by the French interior designer Jacques Garcia, the new look is a new level of sophisticated Moroccan telltale classic glamour combined with the preserved original Art Deco motif creating the most dramatic Moroccan ambiance anyone’s ever seen!

Cool Wool!
July 15, 2010
Stumbled upon these over at Contemporist yesterday and I couldn’t help but fall immediately in love with the aesthetics as well as the cause behind them..
It’s called the Vessel collection by the Portland, Oregon-based CraftedSystems.. “All of their products are woven from 100% natural wool felt, and hand assembled at a women’s shelter, which helps in skills development for women in transition, economically enabling and empowering them, giving them collective purpose and creative outlet.”
Isn’t it great?

A dose of glam!
July 12, 2010
The rich deep dark twilight blue with the silky textures and layers by the sleek timeless chic silver lamp on the delicate detail of the nightstand on one side and the exotic silver chair on the other… DYNAMIITTTE!! Oh! I’m breathless and speechless! ..
