Make yourself at home..

August 31, 2010

Something about the captured interiors in these shots makes them so cozy and inviting you to curl up into a chair.. or dive into the fluffy bedding.. or enjoy a long hot bath in that tub… and just feeeeel at home..

Creative lenses..

August 30, 2010

Now this is what I call visionary photography.. Feels like every bit is perfectly planned yet couldn’t look more spontaneous..

anyway.. I stumbled about these images a while back and really liked them.. thought you might too..

Oh and I think some of them could make great art pieces in large prints on the wall :)

Living room picks..

August 30, 2010

Like the soft colors and the look of the striped fabric against the wallpaper..

The rustic yet vibrant coffee table and that violet chair..

The daring color combination.. the gorgeous green.. the built-in.. and if you’ve been to this page before I’m sure you’ve guessed it: that cowhide rug!

More built-ins.. the bay window.. and pretty pink!

The fantastic floor lamp and all those beautiful patterns!

This is what I call timeless! You like to indulge in some traditional luxury but wanna go hip with the clean modern? here is the best of both worlds..

Despite the neutral palette this space feels vibrant with the creative mixture of elaborate crown molding overlooking the symmetrical layout of the modern furniture..

Beautiful florals on the curtains and classic wallpaper framing the traditional french doors mixed with some modern designer chairs around a clean marble top and metal base coffee table..

More beautiful molding and French doors (oh how I love white French doors!) with very modern furniture and some hip art.. and the parquet flooring really blends everything together with it’s warm texture and the cool pattern!

Multifunctional

August 26, 2010

A great and a very unorthodox way of organizing a room (the most important one in the house in this case) to accommodate different functions all at once.. You can have your sleeping, all your books, your storage, your dressing, your lounging, and still plenty of space to navigate through them comfortably and stylishly!

I just love the idea of not having to see the bed first thing walking in the room!

If we look a little closer we find the greatest inspiration in the most random and most overlooked details around us..

Thought I’d start putting together and sharing some of the delicacies I come across now and then.. hope you find them as inspiring! :)

One of the things on my wish list lately is a ceramic garden stool.. Been on the hunt for the perfect one.. I just can’t make up my mind which style to go for I wanna get them all!

By the shore..

August 24, 2010

My apologies for disappearing lately my dear VP readers.. Tons on my mind, a gazillion things to do and so very little time.. There is nothing more I want right now than escaping to a far far away retreat with all white interiors, vaulted ceilings,  and views of blue waters out of every door and every window..

thought these pics might get me closer..
