Hello! And welcome to Velvet Palette..
My name is Shatha and I’m the author of VP, which I decided to start one random afternoon to put my “designaholism” in perspective and as a way to organize my, by then, out of control exponentially growing pile of clippings and images I’ve collected in my personal archive over the years (mostly during grad school when I should’ve been studying other stuff!). I created VP as a passion and obsession to be my little public inspiration board of innovative and eclectic design, be it interiors and exteriors or random doses of art, fashion, and yummy bites!
I try to keep up this board between my very serious day management consulting job and my less serious after-hours freelance interior consulting projects… so please bear with me if I disappear every now and then.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you come again anytime to get inspired or simply to unwind and procrastinate… either way please be my guest and have a Velvety Day! :)

Hello- I was just wondering where you found a ROUND balloon to use with the doilies?

Hi, it actually wasn’t my own DIY. You may find full instructions at http://dosfamily.com/2011/01/lace-lamp/. According to the article you should be able to find similar large balloons at party supplies stores. Good luck! :)
