Living in Glass..
May 15, 2010
Every time I try to picture my dream home in my head all I see is an ocean-front house with floor to ceiling walls of nothing but glass. Now let’s leave the ocean for another post and focus on the glass… There’s absolutely nothing more minimal yet so lavish to make the natural surroundings of the house blend in with its interiors.
Let’s tour some of the greatest glass architecture marvels starting with the historical piece of art by the renown architect Philip Johnson in New Canaan, CT:
The second stop is a luxurious tree house in Sidney designed by Utz-Sanby Architects…

Now adding some concrete to the glass here is the stunning work of Freelon Group in Raleigh, NC. It’s a three-story combination of rustic and contemporary designed for the company architect Michael A. Rantilla.

Finally, and quite literally, the C-O-O-L-E-S-T of them all is this planned and soon-to-be-built completely transparent art piece by the Italian design house Santambrogio Milano.. The last time I checked the project has not been created yet and Santambrogio Milano announced they are currently in search of the ideal location.
